Advanced Data Integrity Features
Overview
We care about the accuracy and integrity of your data and want your analytics and dashboards to a properly depict the performance of your campaigns.
QIVIR has thoughtfully considered the challenge of keeping your data clean and spot-on and has engineered several features to help do so. Some of these features are built into the platform and are automatic, while others require you to configure them and tune them over time.
Automatic Data Integrity Features
Social Bot & Spider Activity Detection
When you post your QR codes and shortened URLs to many social media platforms, your links are followed by their bots and spiders to make sure that any content you point to follows their rules and regulations - which can artificially run up your activity numbers.
To combat this problem, we automatically detect this activity and exclude it from your analytics and dashboards. Read the following support article for more details on this built-in feature.

Rate Limiting Detection
To help protect your account resources and data accuracy, we monitor all activity that hits the QIVIR platform and watch for certain patterns. One particular pattern we watch for is too many requests coming from the same IP address within a specified time window.
When the specified threshold has been reached by too many requests coming from the same IP address in the specified time window, the system will automatically establish as system block for that IP address - rejecting any future requests from that IP.
Manual Data Integrity Features
Blocked Numbers
This feature allows you to list phone numbers that you do not want to call your system anymore. You can either manually enter a number to block, or you can select a previous call from the list and select the option to block this caller.
Once blocked, calls from those numbers are rejected which prevents any further account resource from being consumed by the caller.

Blocked IPs
This feature allows you list IP addresses of bad actors and users who abuse your resources and artificially run up your campaign's performance data. You can manually enter IP addresses, or you can select the Block IP Address feature on the recent activities dashboard to help block these IP addresses quickly.

Testing Numbers
This feature allows you to list phone numbers of your offices, clients and testers whose activity you do not want reflected in your dashboards and analytics. By either manually specifying testing phone numbers or manually marking calls as testing after the fact, you can help keep your campaign results free from testing data and artificially inflating your campaign's performance numbers.

Testing IPs
This feature allows you to list IP addresses of your offices, clients and testers whose activity you do not want reflected in your dashboards and analytics.
